Paul is a painter who occupies one of the studios in Yorkshire Art Space, Sheffield. His intuitive style relies on testing and re-testing sketches until satisfaction allows him to reach for the oils. Paul says of his own work "In a way, my personal vision up until now has always been a lot more fluid, particularly where it relates to painting. On canvas, I can set up a very liquid, very complex, chaotic system and then try and impose some sense of order on it. What interests me is the point at which it has the most fragile kind of structure."
